About Us

Who We Are

Our organization Shine organization for Women In Self-Development (Shine-WISD) is a women-led organization, legally registered in November 28, 2023 as a local NGO operating in Tigray region, Ethiopia.

OUR VISION

Shine-WISD envisions where trauma and psychosocial problems and absolute poverty is eradicated and women play an active role in the development of Tigray & able to live and work in a safe and secured environment.

OUR MISSION

Shine-WISD exists to work with how women with a very low-income invest their efforts to become economically empowered, develop resilient families, enjoy equal rights and become active players in the development of Tigray.

OUR MAJOR OBJECTIVES

Ø Shine provides Trauma healing training, recovery program and psychological support for destitute women in a very low livelihood;

Ø Provides entrepreneurial, business and life skills to build women’s capacity and confidence to be self-supportive;

Ø Shine-WISD provides Entrepreneurship, saving & financial management skills to start or upgrade their own business & become self-supportive;

Ø Shine-WISD provides parenting & family life skills to upgrade their knowledge on child development & family life management.
