Biography
Abrehet is a dedicated educator, community development practitioner & passionate on promoting women’s participation and Leadership across all sectors of society. She is dedicated in advancing women’s empowerment, strengthening women’s voices in decision- making, and ensuring equitable access to resources and opportunities. She currently serving as an Instructor in the Department of Cooperative Accounting & Auditing at Mekelle University, where she contributing on teaching, mentoring, and academic service for the past ten years. Abrehet holds a BA degree in Cooperative Accounting & Auditing and a MA in Community Development & Leadership from Mekelle University. Her academic background combines expertise in Accounting, Auditing, Cooperative and community- focused leadership that enables her to effectively support both institutional and community development initiatives. Abrehet has joined Shine-WISD organization as board member since 2023 and brings valuable academic knowledge, community development experience, leadership skills, strong commitment to inclusive growth, accountability, empowerment and a strong sense of social responsibility.
